Port Poti is strategically situated on a plain where the Rion River flows into the Black Sea, approximately 265 km northwest of Tbilisi and about 110 km north of the Turkish border. Its geographical location makes it a crucial crossroad in the Caucasian corridor.
Poti is the primary port for transshipment of cargo to and from Central Asia and the Trans-Caspian region. Recently acquired by APM and RAKIA, the port handles a diverse range of cargo, including liquid and dry bulk, ferries, and containers.
